Meanwhile Club aims to improve mental health and wellbeing for Londoners.

Stress accounted for 45% of all working days lost to ill health in 2016.

We also create community in our global city by offering group interaction with nature through planting, making and learning together. Meanwhile Club provides plant based workshops for communities and companies -to book read more.

We specialise in building community and Team Building alongside teaching simple growing skills. Our workshops generate high quality social media content which simply shows wellbeing and CSR activities.

1,800 Londoners took part in our workshops in 2017.

We can offer twelve different workshops for your work team, street market or public space. We have full Public Liability and will provide all materials required.

Each workshop requires two large tables and running water but can be held in any location in central London. Some are seasonal – please ask

Meanwhile Club Workshops

1 Desktop Gardens

Take thirty minutes of your day to reconnect with nature and create your own Terrarium with Succulents and Cacti . This workshop delivers all the benefits of gardening in a short lunch break. Participants take away a terrarium for their office or home.

2 Make a Kokedama 

To hang at home or in the office. This Japanese style moss ball will house a fern or mini Orchid plant and give you an unusual way to display plants if you have very little space.

3 Closed Terrariums

Create your own Victorian style “Wardian Case”. Fill a lidded jar with Ferns, Moss and Nerve Plants that generate moisture to keep themselves alive without watering.

4 Air Plants

Choose from five different types of Air Plant and four different ways to display your Air Plant for the office or home using natural organic materials. Learn how to care for your plant – good for raising awareness of air pollution and perfect for an office environment.

5 Hand Tied Flowers / Valentines Flowers 

Make the most of supermarket blooms or ower market purchases. Learn how to make a hand tied bouquet of flowers and locally sourced foliage to brighten your
day on a budget. Popular at Valentines.

6 Sleep Well

Make a wheat pillow to ease muscle aches, headaches and cramps, lavender bags and chamomile tea bags to smooth away anxiety and promise a good nights sleep.

7 In Bloom

Spring and Autumn

Plant fragrant flowers in hanging baskets for an instant blast of colour in the spring.

In Autumn plant ivy, ornamental cabbage, cyclamen and violas and learn how to create your own hanging basket to take home or keep in the office.

Plus seed bomb making – become a guerrilla gardener on your way home from work.

8 Cocktail Herbs

Take your cocktails to a new level by adding your own garden fresh herbs. Learn how to take plant cuttings and choose your own blend of herbs (rosemary, mints, thyme, borage, Lemon verbena, blackcurrant sage and wild strawberry) to plant and create your very own portable cocktail garden.

9 Festive Wreaths

Meanwhile Club provides all materials and London grown natural decorations to be fixed to a hand made base of straw, which can be recycled. This workshop will take between twenty to forty five minutes and is relaxing, sociable and full of festive scent.

10 Herbal Tea’s

Learn about herbal teas and their therapeutic effects. Make herbal
tea bags of choice to try during the workshop. Make your own herbal tea blend to take away. Choose a free infuser that can be kept at your desk.


11 Lavender Lunch Hour 

Use fresh London Lavender harvested from our allotment to make bath bombs and bath teas (suitable for showers). Also make a stunning lavender wreath.This workshop is very relaxing and frangrance travels across locations – Seasonal late summer early autumn.

12 Autumn Bulb Planting 

Plant Hyacinth and Paper Whites in decorative glass to hide away in darkness and bring delicious scent and soft colour to dark winter months.
